Herzlich willkommen, welcome and ברוכים הבאים to my Web site.

Born and raised in Germany, educated in the United States, I have finally settled down in Israel, where I work for the English Edition of Haaretz, Israel's leading daily newspaper. I am graduate of Columbia University's School of Journalism and have published articles in The New York Times, New York Daily News, Chicago Tribune, Jerusalem Post and many other newspapers and magazines.

I hold a Master's degree in modern Jewish history, but my fields of interests are wide. They include politics, international diplomacy, religion, sociology, arts and culture. I have written about local and international breaking news, ranging from the the evacuation of illegal Israeli outposts and elections in Sudan to contested school board elections on Long Island and a drug rehab center that was supposed to be built near a Manhattan elementary school. I have also written  features about everything imaginable, music and movie reviews and editorials.

I live with my wife Marie-Paule in Jerusalem.
